Project Manager Information Technology - Disability Income (1996 - 1998)
Managed a staff of eighteen (18) IT professionals that provided business analysis and technical system support for client/server, mainframe and standalone PC applications. These applications included an interactive PC COBOL front end interfacing to Mainframe CICS/DB2 and overnight batch trails.
Over 7200 sales representatives.
Project Manager Licensing and Registration (1994 - 1996)
Supervised the redesign of a system to support the establishment and maintenance of state licenses, company appointments and the NASD registration of all individuals soliciting business. Conversion was from VSAM/CICS to DB2/CICS. Developed business and system specifications. Established procedures, provided documentation, acceptance testing, and user training. Reduced in-house turnaround time for re-appoints by 10%.
Project Manager Information Technology Small Business Center (1984 - 1994)
Led a project team of business analysts and systems technicians to design, develop, and implement a bulk billing and consolidated remittance system (payroll deduction). Marketing was provided with the ability to sell, at the worksite, any combination of individually owned products (Life, Health, Annuity, Auto, etc) under a single bill. Worked very closely with the marketing and the client organizations to provide creative solutions to support their enrollment and distribution needs. This system was able to support clients ranging from 5 through 200,000+ employees. Billing/Remittance processing supported turnaround paper bills for small clients, Tape, EFT or bank drafts for large clients.
Project Manager Information Technology Personal Annuities (1980 - 1984)
Managed the design and implementation of a system, VSAM/CICS/Batch, to administer Recorded Liabilities/Unclaimed Funds and perform state escheatment processing.
Systems Analyst Personal Annuities (1974 - 1980)
Led the development effort to provide an online (CICS) front-end to a purchased Flexible Annuity system. This subsystem was designed to provide online security, file inquiry and data entry. Online validation was developed as a replacement for the batch system edits. Involved the assessment and selection of vendor package.
